The Rationalist believes that anything on earth can be solved by science, and the puritans believed strongly in god. They believed he was the creator of all and that he was the reason we had most of the things that we do. The rationalist believed that god created the universe and left it up to people to figure out how to work it or to figure out the natural laws. The puritans believed that god created the world and man did everything else to build the earth.
Benjamin Franklin made chart of the days of the week and the goals he wanted to accomplish to become a better man. Ben may want to become a better man doing a chart so that he would forget nothing. The Puritans would pray to get them help unlike the Rationalist that believe science solve the problems.
Ben Franklin is a good example of rationalists because rationalist believes that Men and Women also believed that human society was run by natural law. They also believed they could take a scientific approach to self-improvement. And the reason Ben Franklin is a good example because he was a scientist and he believed that you can solve anything with science.
Role model- Be a good example for the kids and others
Kind hearted- treat people nice like you would want to be treated
Thankful- be thankful for all the things you already have
Grateful- be grateful for all the things that you have in your life
Honesty- don’t tell lies, tell the truth about all things
Respect- respect other like you wants to be respect
Open minded-willing to learn more or got more ideas
Cleanliness- keeps your body clean
Obedient-respect your elders and do what they say
Thoughtful-always thinking of other then your self
Neat- keep your body and house clean
Prideful-don’t let nobody tell you, you can can’t do
Self motivated- motivate your self and don’t listen when people try to put you down
I think that as long as you go by the things that you will be good in life. And as long as you go by the things people will respect like you want to be respect. When you wake up ever morning you should think about at least five of the things that I named to get your day started.
The rationalist believes that god put them to find out how things go. They thought that god put them on earth smart, so they started doing science and solving everything they need to know. The rationalist wanted to get rid of there king because he was there for so long and he did want anyone else to get elected.
The rationalist believed that the power of the state was different the laws of the nation.

Wilt Chamberlain
Wilt Chamberlin, 7 foot 1, center from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Chamberlain still holds records in the NBA, like when he scored 100 points in a single game, and he also hold records for rebounding. He was also the Most Valuable Player (MVP) two times while he was in the NBA. He has been in thirteen all star games and ten all NBA first and second teams. Chamberlain was named by the NBA as one of the 50 greatest players in 1996.
When Chamberlain was young, he didn’t like basketball that much. He was into track and fields events like the high jump and things like that. When he was younger he uses to say that basketball was a sport for sissies because he wasn’t interested in basketball as a child. When Chamberlain came to high school, he started liking the sport because he was taller than everybody and it was hard for them to stop him. When he first came to high school Chamberlain was already 6 feet 11 inches.
In 1953 when Chamberlain first stared playing basketball for Overbrook High School, he averaged 31 points a game. In his second season he scored 71 points in a high school game. They also won the public league title that year and they went undefeated that year 19-0. During that summer Chamberlain got a job at the Jewish hotel name Kutsher’s. One day Chamberlain met Red Auerbach, the coach of the Boston Celtics who told Chamberlain to play B.H. Born, the MVP of the 1954 NCAA Final. Chamberlain beat him 25-10. Born then said that he didn’t want to go the NBA because he couldn’t beat a high school student.
In 1955 Chamberlain joined the Kansas Jayhawks. He went to racist places and sat down and ate. The people got so use to him that they just didn’t mess with him no more; they just let him sit in the restaurants and didn’t say anything to him. One day at practice, the freshmen had to play the rest of the team and Chamberlain scored 52 points. At the time Chamberlain was playing under Allen, the starter for Kansas at the time. After that game Chamberlain started over Allen, and later Allen retired because he saw that he wasn’t going to play that much.
After the three years at Kansas he left early trying to go to NBA, but the NBA wouldn’t accept him until he finished his last year in college. Chamberlain instead decided to join the Harlem Globetrotters. On October 24, 1959 he was drafted by the Philadelphia Warriors, becoming the best paid player in the league earning $30,000 in his rookie season. In his first game Chamberlain scored 43 points and brought down 28 rebounds. In his first season he averaged 37.6 points a game and 27 rebounds; that year he won both the rookie of the year and MVP, as well as he won the MVP of the all-star game. Later on in Chamberlain’s career he was traded to the 76ers and to the Lakers. And then later retired and became a player coach and was getting paid $600,000 dollars for that.

In the NBA the eastern conference may be better then the western conference this year because if you just look at all the teams on the west coast and look at all the teams on the east coast you would say that the east coast is better, and that they are playing better basketball right now. All eastern teams have good records starting out this year, and they are beating some of the west coast teams. About this time couple years ago everybody would be paying attention to the west coast teams. Now basketball has gotten better. Basketball fans can almost look at any game from west coast to east coast it will be a good game.
I think the Celtics are the best team in the league right now. They have the best starting five in the league. I think their five is better then the Detroit Piston five from two years ago. They could win the playoffs this year because I don’t see anyone who can stop them from winning it right now. The only teams that I thought would be able to beat them this year was Pistons or the Heat, but the Heat are in last place right now and they have lost 11 games straight. This year Detroit did get the win against the Celtics, but when they meet up again, I think the Celtics will win the game easily.
Considering how the Heat is playing now, almost any team in the NBA can beat them. I don’t see how a professional basketball team can go from one of the best team in league to almost the worst team in the NBA. I understand that the Heat don’t have that many healthy players right now, but some one on the team has to step up before they miss the playoffs this year. I think Shaqu is ready for retirement because he is not like he used to be -- the most dominate player in the league. Previously, teams playing the Heat would have to practice hard and plan how they were going to stop Shaq. Now you see people just stopping Shaq, or he will be hurt and can’t play to the middle of the season. Another team is improving in the east is the Atlanta Hawks.
Since Atlanta Hawks picked up Al Harford, they have been I pretty good team. Last year when they were losing like that, all they needed was a big man and Harford has given them that. Now that the Hawks have a big man everybody on the team is starting to play better. Joe Johnson, he is one of the best players in the league also. I think that he will go to the all star game this year; I also think that he will lead his team to the playoffs this year. As long as Joe Johnson and Josh Smith play well this year, I know that they will go to the playoffs.
The team that I think is playing the best right now is the Cleveland Cavaliers; Lebron James is leading his team to some good wins right now. I think Lebron James is just like Michael Jordan back in his prime or better. Right now he is doing it all, like making other people on his team play better, Daniel Gibson for example. Now Gibson is one of the best three-point shooters in the league, and when James is being double teamed he is one of the people who will step up and hit some big shots.

The Puritans
"The puritans believe that everybody was going to hell and they were going to go to heaven." Because of Adam and Eve they believed that everybody was born a sinner.
They also said that Jesus didn’t die on the cross for ever one he only dies on the cross for them not everybody else. "The puritans believed that it was no way to earn god grace and it was up to the saints to interpret the word of god."
When the puritans first came to land all of them started getting on there knees kissing the ground. When they got there them though that everything was ok, then they started getting hungry and thirsty and they didn’t have anything to eat. Some of them travel by boats and some travel by walking. The ones were walking discovered a near place to stay. But the one that was riding the boat had to go through the dangers river and all the storms.
When the puritans was walking down the riverside trying to find them some where to stay, they spotted out five or six men walking down the riverside with dogs. When the puritans spotted them they took off running into the bush running from the men they seen with the dogs. They ran into they lost the people and after running they ran into something with that had water and all kinds of refresh for them. So I know that was very happy because they haven’t had anything to drink or eat in a while, because of all the walking they had did.
Later on the puritans and the Indian started talking to each other and they stop running from each other when they seen each other. Then they made rules that they could hurt each other and if one of them hurt the other they can send there people after them and they can be punish. And if they had war they couldn’t kill some of the people. And when they came to each other they had to put there bows and arrow down or put them behind there back.
In the month of April the puritans governor was feeling sick out in the field. He was hot and they told him to lie down and he did say anything else to them and then later he died. And that was one of the worst died that they ever had he was a strong men for the puritans. And later on about five or six weeks later the governor wife died. Then later on William Bradford was chosen Governor. In which he had been near the point of death, Isaac Allerton was chosen to be an assistant unto him.
Total Depravity - through Adam and Eve's fall, every person is born sinful - concept of Original Sin.

Limited Atonement - Jesus died for the chosen only, not for everyone. Irresistible Grace - God's grace is freely given, it cannot be earned or denied. Grace is defined as the saving and transfiguring power of God.

Writing Four
Eighteen years old is to young to be going to war, because some people are still living with their parents and they are you consider an adult until they move out of their parents house. I think that they should start letting people go to the army when the turn twenty-one, because that’s when you’re considered an adult.
Some people would like to go to college when they finish high school. If their name is pulled to go to war that means that they will have to go and they may not be able to go to college. I know that the army has a school that you can go to, but if we have to go to war you would be one of the first to go because you would be going to school there and you in the in army. You would have to be one of the people that would have to go to war.
You can’t drink alcohol until you’re twenty-one or considered an adult. If an eighteen-year-old drinks alcohol, it would be underage drinking. In that case you’re underage for going to the army because you’re not an adult until your twenty-one. I think that eighteen is underage for going into the army since eighteen is underage for drinking.
At the age of eighteen you’re not an adult but you do have a little freedom. Like you can go into clubs and everything but you can’t drink because you’re underage and you will go to jail. That’s why I think that if you are underage to drink then they shouldn’t let eighteen-year-olds in the clubs. But if they don’t have a bar in the clubs it will be ok to let eighteen-year-olds in the club. The only thing can I agree about is going, because you are old enough to know when you’re making dumb mistakes. If you do make dumb mistakes, you are old enough to make you’re own decision and you know what’s right and what’s wrong at the age of eighteen.
Now days you can’t buy a gun until your twenty-one years old and you got to have license to have the gun with you. If you go to the army they will give you a gun to shoot and there will be people under the age of twenty-one and they have a gun to shoot. The army has it that you can have a gun in the army when you’re under the age of twenty-one. When you go the army they give you a gun after the second month so they should let you have a gun at the age of eighteen.
That’s why I think that you shouldn’t have to go to the army at the age of eighteen. They should change it to eighteen you’re an adult if they keep things the way they are. If they have it to where you can go to war at the age of eighteen, they should start letting them drink and buy guns like a twenty-one year old.

Harper Lee
To Kill A Mockingbird
The name of y book is "To Kill A Mockingbird". This book was most about this little girl name Harper Lee and about her life when she was growing up. She was born in southwestern of Alabama in a town call Monroeville on April 28, 1926. Harper Lee was know as Nelle to her friends. When she was a little girl, two white girls in her town said that nine black boys raped them. The nine black boys were known as the Scottsboro boys. So that’s how she end up writing the book To Kill A Mockingbird. The book was about this man name Tom Robison and he was accused of raping this girl name Mayella Ewell.
When Harper Lee was five years old living in this small town name Monroeville. The first trail began the trails was about the two white women saying that the nine black men had rape them. The defendants were nearly lynched before the trail even begins and brought to court. The defendants did have a lawyer into the first day of trail, so they couldn’t even tell there lawyer what all went on. The medical testimony prove that the women had not been raped, but the all white jury found all nine boys guilty and all was sentence to death except the youngest one who was thirteen years old. The youngest one was sentence to life in prison. Six years of the subsequent trails saw most of these convictions repealed, and all men was freed or paroled except one escaped. Later that’s who Harper Lee ended up writing the book To Kill A Mockingbird.
The Scottsboro boys ages where from thirteen to nineteen and was accused of raping two white women, the women name was Victoria and Ruby Rates. The Scottsboro boys went to court they had a all white jury and they all were convicted to death excepted the youngest one of all nine boys. When Tom Robison went to court he had a all white jury and they seen that he only had one arm. That was his right arm and the girl was beaten on the left side of her face. The lawyer named Atticus had the girl father sign a paper and they seen that he use his left hand to sign the paper, but the jury still found Tom Robison guilty for raping Mayella Ewell. (When the jury found Tom Robison Judge Taylor was polling the jury: Guilty…guilty …guilty …guilty…"Scout peeked at Jem: his hands were white from gripping the balcony rail, and his shoulders jerked as if each "guilty" was a stab between them.)
The Scottsboro boys later got an appeal and took it to a higher court, the Supreme Court was their sentences were overturned. Later one of the women denied being raped. All of the defendants were eventually acquitted, paroled, or pardoned except the one that escaped, some after serving years in prison. Tom Robison was the same way he got convicted with a white jury and his lawyer later try to appeal. It was no need t cause Tom Robison tried to escape from prison and got killed. (The guards called to him to stop. They fired a few shots in the air, then to kill. They said if he’d had two arms he’d have made it, he was moving that fast. Seventeen bullet holes in him.)

Entry # 3
The name of my book is "To Kill A Mockingbird" and this is my third entry on this book. I have just finished reading it and the third part was about. Later on in prison Tom Robison got killed for trying to escape. One night Jem and Scout was walking home from a show that Scout had for the school, it was very dark the way they where walking and they couldn’t see and thing. Then Jem started hearing noise behind him and someone end up knocking Jem out and breaking his arm and Scout just ran home. Boo Radley end up bringing Jem home and he was knocking out but Jem was ok.
